Widex Moment (Top 8 Features)
The best hearing aid of 2022 from Widex is the Widex Moment. The Widex Moment hearing aids are available in two different styles, custom molded to fit inside the ear and also Receiver-In-Canal or BTE devices that sit behind the ear. It’s available as a rechargeable or disposable battery, and it also offers a telecoil option for the phone on some models.
Feature #1 – Widex PureSound
Widex PureSound uses ZeroDelay technology which is an ultrafast sound processing of less than 0.5 milliseconds. This allows for superior sound quality for open fit hearing aid users. An open fit hearing aid allows direct sound to travel into the ear in addition to the hearing aid’s processed sound. Any delay between this direct and processed sound can negatively impact sound quality. ZeroDelay was designed to minimize this effect.
Feature #2 – True Input Technology
This feature allows the hearing aid to accept a higher sound input level, so a wider dynamic range of sound can enter the hearing aid for processing. An increased dynamic range results in more natural sounding music. The Widex Moment hearing aid also has a music program option.
Feature #3 – Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Widex Moment hearing aids use Artificial Intelligence to analyze and transform the sound for improved speech clarity and comfort. This AI technology is accessible within the My Sound section of the Widex Moment Smartphone App. This feature is available in the styles that sit behind the ear, specifically the mRIC R D, RIC 312 D, BTE R D, and BTE 13 D.
Feature #4 – Tinnitus Masking
Widex hearing aids include Zen tone tinnitus masking sounds for tinnitus relief. These are fractal tones that have a randomized, musical quality and they can sound similar to wind chimes. Consult with an audiologist to determine if a tinnitus masker is appropriate for you. Use of a tinnitus masker in addition to hearing aid amplification can help take your mind off of the tinnitus and make it less bothersome.

Feature #5 – Wireless Connectivity
You can stream audio directly from an iPhone and Android smartphone to the Widex Moment hearing aid styles that sit behind the ear, specially the mRIC R D, RIC 312 D, BTE R D, and BTE 13 D. You can hear your music, podcasts, videos, and your phone calls through the hearing aids.
If you want to stream from different bluetooth phones and devices, the Widex moment hearing aid is compatible with the Com-Dex audio streamer that’s worn around your neck. You also have the option of the Com-Dex remote microphone for conversations in noisy places, a remote control, and a television audio streamer.
Feature #6 – Rechargeable Batteries
Rechargeable batteries are available within the Widex Moment styles that sit behind the ear, specifically the BTE R D and the mRIC R D styles. Widex promotes these rechargeable hearing aids as some of the smallest and most discreet hearing aids available.
Feature #7 – Smartphone App Control
The Widex Moment App gives you control over the Widex Moment hearing aids. Enjoy custom sound tuning as well as the Artificial Intelligence sound processing feature. The Widex Moment app is compatible with the mRIC R D, RIC 312 D, BTE R D, and BTE 13 D. The RIC 10, CIC, and other custom molded styles can be controlled using the WIDEX Tonelink app.
Feature #8 – Remote Programming
You can also enjoy remote hearing aid adjustment. You’ll need the Remote Link programming device that goes around your neck and the Remote Care app on your smartphone. Your hearing healthcare provider can set this up for you so that future adjustment appointments can be done virtually.
