GAMING Headsets & Hearing Aids? GN to Acquire SteelSeries
The hearing aid and headset company, GN, is acquiring the gaming peripherals and accessories company, SteelSeries. Will we soon see the convergence of today’s latest hearing aid technology with gaming headsets? We’ve already seen hearing enhancement technology integrated into consumer audio earbuds, so it will be interesting to see what new products might be released. In this post, I’ll talk about this exciting news and also feature some of the latest products.

GAMING Headsets & Hearing Aids? GN to Acquire SteelSeries
Today, I’m talking about several exciting products offered by GN and SteelSeries. I’ll also cover what the GN acquisition of SteelSeries could mean for future products.
GN
According to the GN.com website, “The GN Group enables people to Hear More, Do More and Be More through intelligent solutions for communication and collaboration.” Their products include hearing aids, headsets, headphones, and earbuds. The GN Group operates under the ReSound, Jabra, Beltone, and Interton brands as well as the BlueParrott and FalCom brands.
Hearing Aids
Resound, Beltone, and Interton are well established leaders in the hearing aid industry. Some of their hearing aid products include the ReSound ONE, the Beltone Imagine, and the Interton Move.
Jabra also makes the Jabra Enhance Pro PM hearing aids available at Costco Hearing Aid Centers. If you’re not looking for a traditional hearing aid but you’re interested in earbuds that can help you hear better, the Jabra Enhance Plus earbuds include hearing enhancement as well as phone call and music streaming.
Earbuds
If you’re looking for the latest true wireless earbuds to listen to your favorite music, Jabra offers the Elite 85t, 75t, and 65t as well as the Elite 7, 3, and Sport. In addition to earbuds, Jabra also offers a variety of headsets and headphones. The GN brands offer not only today’s latest hearing aids but also high tech consumer audio devices.

Now, SteelSeries is known for their gaming gear like headsets, computer mice and keyboards, mousepads, controllers, and other accessories. If you’re looking for quality audio, the popular Arctis headsets come in many different wireless or wired versions. From the entry level Arctis 1 all the way up to the most advanced Arctis Pro wireless, SteelSeries offers a headset for everyone. Even if you’re not a gamer, you can still benefit from a SteelSeries headset if you want better sound quality for video conferencing or for listening to music.
