Today, I’m talking about the top 5 features of the Phonak Paradise hearing aids. Make sure you read until the end of the post where I’ll share a special, bonus feature.
The Phonak Paradise hearing aids are available in the receiver in canal style (or RIC). This style sits behind the ear, a small wire rests against the front of the ear, and a speaker sits inside the ear canal. It’s available with rechargeable or disposable batteries and offers a telecoil option for the phone on some models. The Phonak Paradise uses a new sound processor chip called PRISM, which stands for Processing Real-time Intelligent Sound Management.
Phonak Hearing Aids – Paradise Features #1-5
Feature #1 – AutoSense OS 4.0
AutoSense OS 4.0 is a collection of different hearing aid settings that use automatic sound processing with artificial intelligence. It recognizes and adjusts sound for different listening situations. For the premium (P90) model, AutoSense OS provides 7 different sound processing settings that are automatically activated depending on the sounds in your environment. These include settings that improve speech understanding and comfort in quiet as well as when there is echo, noise, or music. There are also two settings for optimized sound quality while enjoying media like speech or music.
In addition to AutoSense OS, you have the option to include up to 4 manually selected sound settings or programs. Having access to these manual programs will allow you to override the hearing aid’s automatic AutoSense OS, so you can have the hearing aid stay in whatever program setting you have selected. For example, you can have a custom noise reduction program that you like to use when eating at your favorite restaurant.
Feature #2 – myPhonak App
You can use the myPhonak app as a remote control. This allows you to change the volume, adjust the sound quality, select programs, and choose dynamic noise cancellation settings. You can check stats like current battery level, wear time, hearing aid controls, and wireless connection configuration.
You also have access to remote support and can enjoy real time hearing aid adjustment with your provider over a video call. You can even have your hearing tested by your provider directly through the hearing aids. The hearing diary feature allows you to track hearing aid usage, share feedback with your provider, and set hearing goals.
Feature #3 – Wireless Connectivity
The Phonak Paradise hearing aids have direct connection to iOS & Android devices as well as bluetooth enabled devices. You can also connect two bluetooth devices and switch between them. Check the link below to see if your phone is supported.

In addition to connecting your Paradise hearing aids to a smartphone and other devices, you can also use a variety of wireless accessories. These include the tv connector, remote control, and partner mic.
The tv connector streams sound from the television directly into your hearing aids, the remote control can be used for quick adjustments like the volume or program settings, and the partner mic streams sound from the person wearing the microphone directly into your hearing aids for better hearing in noisy situations.
Phonak also offers DuoPhone which allows for streaming of your phone call audio to both ears whenever you hold the phone to one side. This can significantly improve your ability to understand and follow phone conversations.
Feature #4 – Tap Control
You can double tap your ear to control your hearing aid. Double tapping will allow you to answer or end phone calls, play or pause music, and activate the voice assistant. This feature is available in the advanced (P70) and premium (P90) models.
Feature #5 – Tinnitus Balance
Tinnitus Balance provides tinnitus masking sound for tinnitus relief. Tinnitus is also known as ringing in the ears. Consult with an audiologist to determine if a tinnitus masker is appropriate for you. Use of a tinnitus masker in addition to hearing aid amplification can help take your mind off of the tinnitus and make it less bothersome.
Phonak Hearing Aids – Paradise Bonus Feature
OK, so now for the bonus feature. The Paradise Phonak hearing aids include Motion Sensor Hearing. This allows the hearing aid to detect motion and adjust the microphone sensitivity to improve speech understanding. This feature is available in the premium (P90), advanced (P70), and standard (P50) rechargeable battery hearing aid models.
