Phonak Paradise (Top 7 Features)
The best hearing aid of 2022 from Phonak is the Phonak Audéo Paradise. The Phonak Audéo Paradise hearing aids are available in the receiver in canal style (or RIC). This style sits behind the ear and has a small wire that connects to a speaker inside the ear canal. It’s available with rechargeable or disposable batteries, and it offers a telecoil option for the phone on some models.
This hearing aid is also available in a rechargeable, waterproof model called the Phonak Audéo Life. The Audéo Life can be recharged using the new Phonak Charger Case Go induction charger. This new case uses magnets to hold the hearing aids into place.
Feature #1: Automatic Sound Processing
AutoSense OS 4.0 uses automatic sound processing with artificial intelligence to recognize and adjust the hearing aid sound quality for different listening situations. The sound quality is automatically optimized for speech, music, or background noise.
You also have the option of up to 4 manually selected programs or custom sound settings. This allows you to override the automatic, AutoSense OS so you can stay in the setting that you’ve selected. For example, you may want a customized noise reduction program for your favorite coffee shop.
Feature #2: Wireless Connectivity
Another important feature is the ability to wirelessly connect to devices around you. This allows you to stream phone calls or audio from your smartphone to your hearing aids. The Phonak Audéo Paradise hearing aids have direct connection to Apple iOS & Android devices as well as Bluetooth enabled devices. You can also connect two Bluetooth devices and switch between them. Check out the link HERE to see if your phone is compatible.
You also have access to wireless accessories including the television connector, remote control, and the wireless partner microphone for use in noisy situations. Also if you want to use a landline phone, Phonak offers DuoPhone so you can stream your phone call audio to both ears whenever you hold the phone to one side.
Feature #3: ActiveVent Receiver
The ActiveVent Receiver is an automatically adjusting vent built into the hearing aid speaker that sits inside the ear canal. It has a vent that opens and closes depending on the sound environment around you. This feature optimizes the sound quality for your own voice, speech and environmental sounds, and music streaming.
Feature #4: myPhonak App
You can use the myPhonak app on your smartphone as a remote control. The app gives you control over the volume, sound quality, selected program, and noise cancellation settings. You can check stats like the current battery level and hearing aid wear time. You also have access to remote support and can enjoy real time hearing aid adjustments with your provider over a video call. You can even have your hearing tested by your provider directly through the hearing aids.
Feature #5: Tinnitus Balance
The Tinnitus Balance noise generator provides tinnitus masking sounds for tinnitus relief. Tinnitus is also known as ringing in the ears. Consult with an audiologist to determine if a tinnitus masker is appropriate for you. Use of a tinnitus masker in addition to hearing aid amplification can help take your mind off of the tinnitus and make it less bothersome.
Feature #6: Tap Control
Tap control gives you quick access to several hearing aid controls. A double tap of your ear will allow you to answer or end phone calls, play or pause music, or activate the voice assistant. This feature is available in the advanced (P70) and premium (P90) models.
Feature #7: Motion Sensor Hearing
Motion Sensor Hearing adjusts the microphone sensitivity to improve speech understanding in noisy situations while walking. This feature is available in the premium (P90), advanced (P70), and standard (P50) rechargeable battery hearing aid models.
