Starkey Evolv AI – Top 4 Features
The Starkey Evolv AI hearing aid is the latest device from Starkey that builds upon the technology inside the previously released Starkey Livio Edge AI hearing aid. These two hearing aids share a long list of high tech features, but let’s first talk about what makes this new hearing aid unique.
Feature #1 – Always On AI
The Starkey Evolv AI hearing aid features an always on AI for what Starkey calls “effortless hearing.” This is an improvement over the previous Livio Edge AI hearing aid which required the user to manually activate AI processing.
Feature #2 – Wireless CIC
The Starkey Evolv AI hearing aid is also available as a 2.4 GHz wireless, completely-in-canal style or CIC which is even smaller than the styles available with the previous Starkey Edge AI hearing aid. There’s also a non-wireless CIC and IIC or invisible-in-canal style available.
Feature #3 – Improved Noise Reduction
Starkey reports that Evolv AI performs 55 million automatic adjustments every hour to provide excellent sound quality. According to Starkey, this results in a “40% reduction in noise energy” for reduced listening effort compared to previously available Starkey hearing aid technology.
Feature #4 – Alerts & Reminders
The Starkey Evolv AI hearing aid features fall alert and voice reminders at all technology levels and various price points. If the person wearing this hearing aid falls, an alert can be sent to a friend or family member automatically. You can also set voice reminders for different tasks throughout your day.
Features shared with Starkey Livio Edge AI
One of the most convenient features is the ability to have remote care from your audiologist. You can have follow-up hearing aid sound adjustments without going to your audiologist’s office by using the Starkey TeleHear service. Connect to this service using the Thrive Hearing Control app on your phone.
Also enjoy features like Android and iPhone connectivity, audio streaming, custom programs with geotagging (which changes your sound settings based on where you go), activity tracking, and tap control. With a double tap, you can activate edge mode for enhanced hearing, use the thrive voice assistant, or start and stop audio streaming.
If you use the Thrive Hearing Control app, you’ll also have access to a remote control, the find my hearing aids feature, hearing aid self checks, thrive assistant, and translation and transcription capability.
